This is the question we hear quite often. For example during the English lesson:
Teacher: „What’s the most common reason why some women are late for dates?”
Student: „I think the most common reason why some women are late for dates is not enough time to put make-up on.”
Girls: „Oh, come on! How do you know that! And what about the traffic?”
Teacher: „Would you agree to a blind date?”
Student: „No, I’d never agree to a blind date.”
Teacher: „Why not?”
Student: „Because I never go on dates with people I don’t know or hardly know. It’d be crazy!”
Teacher: „How do you know that? It’d be great fun!”
Teacher: „What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?”
Student A: „The craziest thing I’ve ever done was a parachute jump.”
Student B: „I was swimming in the sea during the storm.”
Student C: „Er... I did something. But I don’t tell it loudly.”
Teacher: „Why?”
Student C: „If I tell, you’ll ask, how do I know that...”

Student: „I don’t want to get old!”
Teacher: „But you will.”
Student: „How do you know that?”
Teacher: „It’s obvious!”
